Feasibility Analysis
Wheeled Energy Feasibility Analysis
Before committing to a wheeled energy deal, it's essential to know whether wheeling is commercially viable for your business. Energy Brokers' feasibility analysis gives you a clear, evidence-based answer — assessing your current electricity profile, cost structure, and energy goals to determine the right path forward.
What's covered
What the Feasibility Analysis Covers
Our analysis covers four key areas:
Site Tariff & Load Profile
We review your current electricity tariff structure and consumption data to understand your load shape, peak demand periods, and overall energy spend.
Business Drivers & Goals
We understand what's driving your interest in wheeled energy — whether that's cost reduction, ESG commitments, supply security, or a combination of all three.
Term Length & Offtake Commitment
We assess your appetite for contract duration and volume commitment, identifying the structures that best align with your operational and financial planning horizons.
Commercial Viability
We model the expected cost savings against your current tariff, factoring in Eskom wheeling charges, to give you a clear picture of whether wheeled energy makes commercial sense for your business.

What you receive
A Clear, Honest Assessment
At the end of the feasibility analysis, you receive a clear assessment of whether wheeled energy is the right fit for your business — including a view on expected cost savings, the most suitable energy technology (solar, wind, or BESS), and recommended contract structures. If wheeling is viable, we move directly into the Solution Analysis phase. If it's not the right fit at this stage, we'll tell you that too.
The feasibility analysis is provided at no cost and with no obligation to proceed.
Next step
The Next Step After Feasibility
If the feasibility analysis confirms that wheeled energy is commercially viable for your business, we move into the Solution Analysis phase — where we identify the best available IPP projects, compare pricing and contract terms, and present you with a recommended solution. From there, Energy Brokers manages the full procurement and contracting process through to financial close.

What Our Clients Say
-

Energy Brokers played an important role in helping us understand the emerging wheeled energy market and the commercial opportunities available to UPP. Their team took the time to understand our energy requirements, explain the different contracting structures, and facilitate introductions to suitable market participants.

The work Energy Brokers did before any introductions was what made this deal possible. They analysed our energy requirements in detail, modelled the options, and laid out the trade-offs so they were easy to weigh up.

The real value came before any introductions were made. Energy Brokers took the time to understand our energy requirements in detail, modelled the options, and set out the trade-offs so we could weigh them up easily. By the time they brought the Supplier to the table, we already knew exactly what we were looking for. The conversation was focused, we were aligned from the outset, and the PPA we signed gave us the flexibility we needed.
